I’ve got a challenge set out before me
An answer I’ve been waiting to hear
A sight long unseen
Life long friendships obtained
Wisdom and knowledge and a cup over flowing
Confirmation and healing
A most beautiful story
All with in a 3day period
Thank you LORD for our stay at Fellowship of the Martyrs!
I believe that Thanksgiving may be the only true Christian-American Holiday.
Every time one was officially held by the govern of the president it was always for giving thanks to GOD. In a time of need of wise advise I decided to share a small bit of their words.
George Washington – “also that we may then unite in most humbly offering our prayers and supplications to the great Lord and Ruler of Nations and beseech Him to pardon our national and other transgressions; to enable us all, whether in public or private stations, to perform our several and relative duties properly and punctually; to render our National Government a blessing to all the people by constantly being a Government of wise, just, and constitutional laws, discreetly and faithfully executed and obeyed; to protect and guide all sovereigns and nations (especially such as have shown kindness to us), and to bless them with good governments, peace, and concord; to promote the knowledge and practice of true religion and virtue, and the increase of science among them and us; and, generally to grant unto all mankind such a degree of temporal prosperity as He alone knows to be best. ”
Abraham Lincoln – “Now, therefore, I, Abraham Lincoln, President of the United States, do hereby appoint and set apart the last Thursday in November next as a day which I desire to be observed by all my fellow-citizens, wherever they may then be, as a day of thanksgiving and praise to Almighty God, the beneficent Creator and Ruler of the Universe. And I do further recommend to my fellow-citizens aforesaid that on that occasion they do reverently humble themselves in the dust and from thence offer up penitent and fervent prayers and supplications to the Great Disposer of Events for a return of the inestimable blessings of peace, union, and harmony throughout the land which it has pleased Him to assign as a dwelling place for ourselves and for our posterity throughout all generations.”
And now from the woman who petitioned 40 years to see a National Day of thanks and is a big part, maybe the part, in why we have it. (Yea, I didn’t know about her either) -“Let this day, from this time forth, as long as our Banner of Stars floats on the breeze, be the grand THANKSGIVING HOLIDAY of our nation, when the noise and tumult of worldliness may be exchanged for the laugh of happy children, the glad greetings of family reunion, and the humble gratitude of the Christian heart. This truly American Festival falls, this year on the twenty-fifth day of this month.”
I spent my weekend dancing on the side of the road as a chicken, cow, and Snoopy. How about you? Continue reading
My friend asked me to take some shots for her. They’re wedding shots, but then again not. Since they didn’t have a big service deal she asked me to do a little shoot for them. And as I’ll always admit I am no pro. Completely amateur. Here are some (I took LOTS!) of the shots :)
This is one of the main reasons why I figured I shouldn’t start a blog. Lack of post. Granted I didn’t think too many people would come across it, but since they have-makes it worse…. I was also against it because I think there is too much info spread on the internet now. Too many wasted words being thrown out and most pointless and I really didn’t want to add to that. I find a lot of blogs ANOYING! Yup I sure do, but I gave in and did one. Went to the zoo and decided to start there. Had no idea I would do those info ones where I gained most of my followers either :) Or any of the ones since. Some have been random just to have something up. Like now I guess. So…….. Four years ago today, I posted a blog about my emergency room “miracle experience” after the Aurora Theater shooting. The post went viral, and created some controversy. Does God really do miracles? Why for one person and not another? Does a good God even exist?
I don’t claim to have all the answers. But I saw the miracle with my own eyes. Thank you to those who have asked me to repost this story for a reminder: God is still at work.

At Columbine High School, I have seen this before. But not up close. As a church pastor in Denver, I have worked as a chaplain alongside several police and fire departments. I was privileged to counsel parents just hours after the Columbine shootings. However, in this new tragedy at the Aurora Theater Dark Night shooting, one of the victims was a 22-year-old…
