In response to Jesus not speaking on homosexuality

Scripture tells us that Jesus is the WORD made flesh, so whatever GOD speaks is Jesus. And if GOD and Jesus are one, then what one says so does the other.
It also informs us that everything Jesus said and did is not all recorded, for it would fill too many books. So maybe he did, but someone clearly pointed out to me that Jesus’ main audience was the jews. They all ready knew everything written in the Old Testament, so there was no need in repeating it.

I see though, that he did speak on it every time he spoke about marriage, because it’s always clear about the sexes.
For example Mark 10:6-9 Really jumped out at me about it.
6:  But from the beginning of the creation God made them male & female…..9:What therefore God hath joined together, let no man put asunder (separate).
    That’s pretty clear to me.

Then scripture goes on to tell us that all men have sinned and fall short of HIS glory.  Pride, hate, thievery, love of money, idols, selfishness, etc. It all separates us from God,
so I ask?

Why should they get off any easier than us?

God Knows My Heart

A few months back I listened to a teaching by Micah Wood titled ‘One Call That’s All.’ In it he used the scripture Mathew 25:14-30.

14 For the kingdom of heaven is as a man travelling into a far country, who called his own servants, and delivered unto them his goods.

15 And unto one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one; to every man according to his several ability; and straightway took his journey.

16 Then he that had received the five talents went and traded with the same, and made them other five talents.

17 And likewise he that had received two, he also gained other two.

18 But he that had received one went and digged in the earth, and hid his lord’s money.

19 After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoned with them.

20 And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou delivered unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more.

21 His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

22 He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou delivered unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them.

23 His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.

24 Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art a hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where thou hast not strawed:

25 And I was afraid, and went and hid thy talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine.

26 His lord answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not strawed:

27 Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.

28 Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents.

29 For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath.

30 And cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

This scripture has not strayed far from my mind since.
One reason I think it’s stuck is that I had a conversation similar to that parable with someone and had I remembered this scripture I would’ve warned them.

So many times we or at lease I hear…. “This and that, this and that, but God knows my heart.”

Now that I know this scripture I want to say and will say if it ever occurs again.

That’s the problem, God knows your heart!

It’s not a crutch to fall back on, but instead the very thing that will condemn us. I say we’d be better off if God didn’t know our heart!

That’s why the master answered him the way he did. He knew the man’s heart and the man even revealed his heart with his answer. It says that in the same parable in Luke 19:22 “…Out of thy own mouth will I judge you….”

“…For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.”
 Mathew 12:34 and 35
“A good man out of the treasure of the heart brings forth good things and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things.”

The Day I’ll Do Without…

Valentines Day

It should be celebrated by neither Christian nor children.
From its origin in fertility rights to this day-and-age’s actions in sex and one-night stands.

Now-a-days it’s the Holiday that plaques the lonely.
Tells people it’s not ok to be single and that  you must have some form of Valentine, at lease for just this day, or you’re a loser.

The complete opposite of what we should be taught.
Commitment should be an everyday thing and shared with just that ONE PERSON and no other.
Don’t try to fill a void that wasn’t there till you were deceived to think it was.
It’s worth the wait.

Like in Songs of Solomon.
Don’t Awaken Love until it’s ready

Now….
The only way I’d be ok with Valentines Days, is if it was celebrated in the fashion of which it’s named.
                 St. Valentine
A man who risked death to join those who were in love in marriage.
FOR THE REST OF THEIR LIVES

If it started being a celebration of marriage and the purity there in.
Then and ONLY then, might I consider it.
A day to celebrate commitment.
TRUE LOVE and the patience required.

And we’d have to do our best not to twist and mangle that,
NO!!!! Or we’re back to where we started.

Even then, should it be a holiday?
Or maybe just a time to teach, learn, and emphasize the importance of these truths?

I encourage that you do research on these matters.
St. Valentine: What all he did and stood for.
The origins and practices of this day in Rome. (The Real Day)
Why it was made a holiday and what it’s become today.

I would have done so like at Christmas Time, but then we’d have a really……….
……………………………………………………………………….. long post :D

Finishing up my Christmas post with a few more things I wanted to share :D

There were some more things I wanted to research and share with you guys, but some things happened and got in the way. So now I’m going to give some short accounts of some different things. I thought about saving it for next year, but I really wanted to share the thing I heard about the wreath. Continue reading
